PLU, Labeling and Invoicing Systems

PLU (PRODUCT LOOK UP) and Product labeling systems for the 7XX series are programs in which multiple products and information can be stored and accessed at any time.
The 7XX series offers a completely flexible solution to product labeling, from a simple stand alone unit producing labels of any size, linked to proprietary printers such as Eltron, Intermec, Tec, Zebra, through to completely networked systems using Ethernet connections and communicating to industry standard operating systems. Reporting can be done from a simple tally roll through to MS Excel format, CSV (Comma Supported Values), or even account and management packages such as SAGE. We are able to print most bar codes formats, such as Code 39, Code 128 and EAN-13, and our beef labeling software meets with all the EC Bovine regulations. As with all our programs the PLU systems are highly flexible, and in most cases can be tailored to the customers exact needs.

Loss in Weight Applications

With the loss in weight programs of the 7XX series, the loss of product weight can be measured and controlled. This type of program can be used for a vast range of applications for example the food industry or the glass making industry. The key to this type of program is that a pre-determined amount of product can be delivered in a pre-determined time. This makes the Loss in Weight program ideal for sifting applications such as those mentioned within this section.

Filling and Batching Applications

There are many types of filling applications that exist in industry. The exact type of system depends on the area of industry in which it will be used and the properties of the filling materials. For example, the software may be controlling the filling of various containers, such as balloons or packages, with a wide range of materials, such as granules, powder, liquid or gas. In most cases the entire filling process can be controlled by 7XX indicators.
When using either of these indicators to control your system, you can be assured that all of your filling processes are under control. You can also be sure of not breaking the law by under filling, and at the same time, you can optimize your business profits by minimizing any overfilling.

Vehicle Weighing Applications

The flexibility of the 7XX series makes it the ideal product for use in all types of vehicle weighing (Truck Scales) from portable axle pads through to fully automated unmanned weighbridge, meeting all trading standards and highway department requirements.
The 7XX series has the flexibility, with its hardware options, to support inputs from key/ card readers and vehicle sensing devices for encapsulation of vehicles on the weighbridge, and outputs to operate traffic lights and barriers. The flexibility allows customer and product details to be stored within the indicator or to be linked to full weighbridge software, such as WinVRS, Load-tracker (Cardinal) or any industry standard software package. This communication can be done via RS232 serial ports, Bluetooth, Ethernet or even emailed directly from the indicator.

Counting Systems

There are a huge variety of simple counting scales on the market. The 7XX series can effortlessly match such scales, but with its massive flexibility it can also be the most sophisticated system on the market. It offers unique solutions for applications with the following requirements:
• Accurate counting with sampling and stored piece weights.
(This is a requirement that is satisfied by the majority of standard products, however, the 7XX series surpasses these with the ability to provide the following.)
• Multi scale inputs for high accuracy sampling to high volume counting. A single 7XX series indicator can handle and display the weight and count, if required, for up to 6 individual scale bases, in addition to accepting weight data from high accuracy analytical and standard balances via the RS232 serial port.
• The 7XX series has the ability to store products and item codes within its own database as a stand-alone machine, be PC linked to back up data or the indicator can be part of a network system sharing data with the factories main operating system.
• Archive data can be stored within the indicator for printing on request, exported to MS Excel spreadsheets or even emailed directly from the indicator at a specified time.
• Hardware options, with Input/Output cards, give the ability to control relays and valves for drafting products, and enable the use of many additional options such as security keys, swipe cards and blue tooth communication links.

Check Weighing Applications

Check weighing programs are predominately used to check the weight of small packages or cans etc., but may also be used to verify the correct weight of a wide variety of other items or livestock. In general a check weighing system will look for a weight within a pre determined high, low and accept range. One of the key requirements of a check weighing system is a fast response. The 7XX series with a sample rate of 60 samples per second is ideal for medium speed check weighing. The advanced hardware system also gives the flexibility for drafting, Animal weighing, and an audible or visual notification of high, low or accepted weights. For a fully automated drafting system the indicator can also interface to control equipment, such as relays and pneumatic valves.
