| There are many types of filling applications that exist in industry.
The exact type of system depends on the area of industry in which
it will be used and the properties of the filling materials. For example, the software
may be controlling the filling of various containers, such as balloons
or packages, with a wide range of materials, such as granules, powder,
liquid or gas. Improving product quality for many industries means achieving a high degree of batch-to-batch repeatability in their systems. With new technologies constantly changing traditional material handling methods, every batching system, from simple one container filling systems with multiple products and recipes, to the most complex systems with multiple containers, e.g. silos & hoppers, have the potential to be made more efficient and reliable. |

| This Batching System weighing application consists of a 788 software program designed to create and edit recipes, run batches and send output data via an Ethernet connection to a PC. The indicator software displays the recipes and guides the operator through the steps of the required operations. The indicator checks that all the ingredients required for the selected recipe are available and allows the operator to decide if any target values need to be adjusted before batching. The indicator stores all process events and ingredient usage and sends this information to the PC at the end of each completed mix.
The PC software stores all incoming data from the indicator and allows the PC operator to run various reports. There is also an option in the PC software to show live weight from all the scales connected to 788. |

A 777 software application designed to reduce product damage during
filling processes by lifting the containers closer to the conveyors
to ensure a minimum dropping distance.
This software programme will stop the filling of the containers when the target weight is reached. Proximity switches are used in conjunction with the software to prevent overfilling of containers if the target weight is not reached. The number of containers that have been filled and average weight of the containers is recorded and stored in the 777 RAM. The stored information can also be sent to Microsoft Excel via an AWM Excel Link.

| This recipe system weighing application consists of a PC software
programme designed to create and edit recipes and batch plans, and
send them via an Ethernet connection to the Cardinal 788 Indicator.
The Indicator software displays the batch plans and guides the operator through the steps of the required recipe. The Indicator checks that the correct number of mixes for the recipe is completed before proceeding and helps the operator to select the order of ingredients to be filled. It is possible to select batch plans on the 788 indicator from the system menu. This selection allows the operator to either load prepared batch plans for the day from the PC, or to create his/her own 788 local batch plan from the existing recipes. The indicator stores all process events and ingredients, and sends this information to the PC at the end of each completed mix. The PC software stores all incoming data from the indicator and allows the PC operator to run various reports.
