A calibration is essentially an MOT for a weighing scale. It's the process of verifying the accuracy of a weighing scale by undertaking testing procedures and comparing the output weight data with the weight of a certified object/weight.
If any issues are identified, then this process gives an opportunity for them to be rectified, so that you can continue to use your weighing scale, limiting the amount of downtime you experience.
