The end-user was an organic mushroom farm, based in Suffolk. They were looking for a more accurate, reliable and up to date way of weighing their produce.
One of our key trade partners recently upgraded the checkweighing system on an Organic Mushroom Farm in Suffolk using our BCW Checkweighers and Baykon Production Control PC Software. Six new Baykon BCW Checkweighing scales were installed and networked to a PC in the main office allowing full supervisor control over production and operator performance.
The BCW’s in the packing room use their colour changing screen to provide clear and intuitive over/under/accept checkweighing on the packing line and allow fast throughput with accurate pack weights. The weighing system processes mushrooms ranging from white button mushrooms to large Portobellos and allows the supervisor to view in real-time what product is being weighed and where whilst sitting at their office PC. The system also supplies the management with full reports including Operator Performance, Daily, Weekly, Monthly Production, T1 and T2 packing information and individual product throughput.
