Poundfield Products are a highly innovate concrete production company based in Suffolk. AWM have supported Poundfield for many years with all of the concrete batching and processing solutions as well as their axle and vehicle weighing scales.
AWM designed and manufactured an unmanned and fully automated In-Motion Axle Weighing solution for weighing vehicles in and out of sight. The fast and highly accurate solution provides visibility and peace of mind for the transport department allowing them to check and reconfigure their loads to ensure all axles weights are legal. An integrated ANPR Camera also captures the vehicle registration as it approaches the scale and allows the vehicle to pass across the VWAW pit mounted platform scale without stopping ensuring unimpeded access and fast vehicle throughput. The scale is connected to the fully programmable Cardinal 825 Weight Indicator running our special axle weighing software that captures the vehicle speed along with the axle and gross weights. The system also features a giant Cardinal SB500 remote display, which provides traffic lights and driver commands on its clear 127mm high LED display warning of over-loads or over-speeds prior to heading onto the road network.
Finally, the weighing scale is also connected via its onboard Ethernet port to the office pc. A high-quality day and night camera is also connected to the same PC and our specially designed PC software combines the 825 weight data with the camera images to provide a full traceability system with reporting and supervisor control.
